Wealth, Knowledge, or Both!

Wealth, if you use it, comes to an end; learning, if you use it, increases. - A Swahili proverb 

Would you rather have money or knowledge? This Swahilian proverb explains that it is wiser to increase in knowledge because knowledge will not run out. It is a poor choice to only focus on increasing wealth because it will eventually run out, decrease in value or be stolen! Knowledge will never decrease in value or end up stolen. Acquiring knowledge has the possibility of making you wealthy!

A bridge allows us to get help, whereas a dam would block help, and cause destruction if it breaks. This proverb encourages us to watch what we say because we can never take back hurtful words once they are said. Our words are important and powerful. They can encourage or tear down. The Holy Bible also says in Proverbs 18:21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue! Let use our words to help instead of cause a problem that one may not recover from!
