Headstrong and Fools

“A headstrong man and a fool
may wear the same cap.” A Danish Proverb 

Have you ever had to deal with a headstrong person? Sometimes it's good to be headstrong especially when standing up for good morals, but it's certainly not good to be headstrong in rejecting others because they are different. Be careful that in your moments of being headstrong, that you aren't being a fool! A headstrong person can be foolish when they are unyielding and impose their opinions on others. They are wise in their own mind which makes them foolish. This proverb points out the similarity between headstrong people and fools.

A bridge allows us to get help, whereas a dam would block help, and cause destruction if it breaks. A slip of the foot may soon be recovered, but that of the tongue perhaps never. - A Danish Proverb   Have you ever said something you wish you could take back? This proverb encourages us to watch what we say because we can never take back hurtful words once they are said. Our words are important and powerful. They can encourage or tear down. The Holy Bible also says in Proverbs 18:21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue! Let use our words to help instead of cause a problem that one may not recover from!
